Perfect Cozy and Charming Getaway.
Positive: We loved the unique and homey charm of the place. There were so many cute details throughout the home that brought nature inside. There were lot's of reading corners, places to drink coffee or wine in the evening and admire the view. Beds were comfortable and the layout of the home was wonderful. Very unique and cozy property
Negative: Everything was great!

Host was very welcoming!
Love Whidbey Is💞
Negative: No downside.
It was just 2 of us, but a great place for family or group of friends!

Spacious but dirty with some safety issues
Positive: Nancy was very kind. She was really communicative and very sweet. It was a good location.
Negative: 1. It was really dirty. We have pictures of all the garbage under the couch and elsewhere.
2. Tried to hot tub in the evening. We were surprised there was no light at all- it was pitch black where the tub is. We tried the provided flashlight but it didn’t work. When trying to get the cover off, a cinder block moved and my friend got her ankle badly wrenched and stuck. A large sliver went into her foot and she was really scraped up. I have some pretty awful photos. Luckily she’s a doctor!
3. The next morning I went to the tub and opened it. My stomach turned when I saw how filthy the water was - and it SMELLED like moldy laundry. So, so gross. The only good thing about my friend being badly hurt was that my child didn’t make it into the water when it was too dark to see how disgusting it was!
4. I almost went through a rotten board on the deck - it’s next to the split one. I hope it’s replaced before someone is badly hurt.
5. The best I saved for last… DIRTY UNDERWEAR on the couch in the main bedroom.
That was the last straw. We bolted. While you pay a $175 cleaning deposit, you are also expected to clean everything - all dishes, sheets, open the windows, etc. Usually that wouldn’t be a big deal - though it’s odd with such a high fee - and I like to leave a place nice. This time though, we had to just get out of there - leaving a sink of dishes with a load already going, the stove top with crumbs, and flour on the butcher block. All garbage was gathered with extra in a box (small garbage can) but there were some mashed potatoes on the side of the trash can that I wish we hadn’t left! Really though, with the deposit I figured we were fine - but the host said it took 2 more hours to clean, which is odd…. And it usually only takes 1.5/2 hrs to clean the whole place??? Maybe more of that deposit should actually go to cleaning time since it clearly hadn’t been done prior to our arrival.

Really nice welcoming house in a great location.
Positive: The house was beautiful and so clean and comfortable. They took the time to leave a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates on the bed for us. We came in late and it was very easy to find and the views were amazing. It was just my wife and I this time but it would be a great place for a family or group.
Negative: Unless they can figure a way to make time stand still so we could have been there longer there was nothing to change.
